Work with records in every capacity such as transfer grades from other schools, testing information,

recording of all academic information, updating cumulative information, school data reports to State and Central Office, 9 th Grade attendance, MSIS 9 th grade.

Receive visitors into the Guidance Office area (students, parents, community guests, etc.)

Coordinate registration of all new 10 th – 12 th grade students

Enroll new students – getting all required paperwork on students before the counselor can schedule

Coordinate and take attendance on student aides

MSIS for 10 th – 12 th grade

Prepare National Merit documents

Run Guidance Office desk at all times except when on lunch break, at which time an adult should replace

you at the desk, no students.

Students should not answer the phone

Make sure that all students sign in before seeing a counselor

Keep weekly totals of students seeing counselors

Contact teachers to send work for students who are out ( OSS , hospitalized, detention, etc.)

Make copies of all scholarships applications and the scholarship newsletter
