Mississippi Cooperative Education

Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year at Gulfport High Technology Center

My name is Sandy Owen and I am the coordinator of the Mississippi Cooperative Education Program (MCE) at GHTC.

This program combines classroom instruction with wok experience and on-the-job training related to a student's occupations training program. Students must attend class regularly and work a minimum of 15 hours per week.

MCE offers 2 1/2 Carnegie units of credit to students who complete the program.  Students may earn a maximum of 5 credits (2 1/2 each year).

The prerequisites for the MCE program include:

MCE students are encouraged to participate in the vocational student organizations sponsored by the occupational programs at Gulfport High Technology Center. Clubs offered at GHTS include:
